7 /1000 miles via vodafone ebay.de
On ebay.de you can find various offers for vodafone points to be transferred into miles. The seller says he directly transfers the points to the buyers vodafone points account. The price seems to be quite competitive 7 /1000 and even less for larger point packages.
Seems to be a much cheaper alternative to the Vouchers.

The difference is whether you have VF / LH status and then register for automatic point transfers or if you simply request a LH miles 'Prämie".
I receive 1 Vodafone-Stars point for every of telephony and those points are converted to LH miles one for one. This option is available for Vodafone-Stars members who are Silver, Gold oder Platin or for those who are Lufthansa FTLs or SENs.
If you don't have status with either VF or LH, you are forced to simply redeem the points for a LH miles voucher and will receive only .5 LH miles for each Vodafone point.

Do you know how this transfer works? Is every VF customer able to transfer points from his account to others? If so, I have never heard of it. If not, where do these points come from?
Thanks!

as one obviously needs to have a vodaphone contract to open a vodaphone stars account, i was just wondering, if i could for example just sign up with vodaphone stars with my relatives vodaphone number (same last name) or does vodafone stars check if the contract is exactly in your name - or is there any check if the ftl-number provided (if only my relative can sign up) is really his??
any experience?

No experience in using differing names, but you can try once and claim ignorance, right?
I know of Vodafone pre-paid, pay-as-you-go customers also having Vodafone Stars, so it's not limited to contract customers. (Although, it could be that they were previously under contract and registered for VF-Stars, and then went 'prepaid' after their contract expired).

There is a limit of TWO numbers which you can collect for one M&M account - stated in the "Fußnote"
Fußnoten:
3 Pro Miles & More Kartennummer max. zwei Vodafone-Nummern.

how was it with payback? It was possible to transfer paypack points between accounts, but after there was too much trading going on at ebay, they stopped that. But since payback belongs (belonged after sep. 1st) to LH, maybe they have a better knowledge about which name is behind which (m&m) number....

I guess no problem..
even LH does not check if you quote a M&M number during an online reservation which does not match the name on the ticket. I sometimes have friends collecting miles for me
