Don’t know if anyone can relate but social media is totally messing with my parenting journey. I’m not able to do stuff like these moms on social media every mom on social media seems to have their life perfect and they got the mom thing down, meanwhile I can’t even get water, use the bathroom, brush my teeth, do my skincare routine without being needed. Everyone seems to be having a photoshoot session for everything, an outfit for every occasion, capturing every moment, perfect photos, etc.

Can anyone relate? I’m considering deleting my social media my algorithm is full of mom/newborn stuff it’s getting to me.

i don’t listen to any of that I just do my thing with 2 under 2 some days are rough like today my toddler just fussed/ cried all day long. My husband and I just rolled with it not much we could do she went to be 15 minutes early

Moms with big social media followings get paid.. and I’ll bet they’re using the money they’re making to pay for house keepers, in home child care, photographers- or at the very minimum they have account managers that curate their profiles- they edit their videos and photos for them. So yeah maybe their life is together and maybe it is perfect, but it’s probably not and it’s not without a lot of behind the scenes work and help.

If social media isn't serving a good purpose for you/your mental health, just delete it. People ONLY show their best times on social media, it's all fake!! I'm not showing me at 4am sitting half asleep with some drool on my face and crazy hair pumping in the corner of my bed! Cuz thats just not cute lol I post my very chunky baby after a nice feed/bath when he's not crying or needing to be held to sleep!! I also don't post when my 2 year old drives me nuts to the point where I cry after everyone is in bed because I'm overwhelmed, overstimulated and touched out!!

Don't feel stupid. I think we all feel like that at one point or another. I'm an exclusive pumper and my algorithm knows it lol so everything is about pumping and it makes me so sad when I see these women who make 100+oz of milk a day and I'm like... I only make like 45oz per day! Which is still a lot, but I'm like, why can't I make 100 lol I work so haaard! It's just silly!! It's all fake!!

I think that it is important to realize that you are seeing 30 seconds of their day. We all have it together for at least 30 seconds. Show me the hour! I guarantee that it’s not as glamorous as that 30 seconds was. While it may feel like we know the people that we follow, we don’t. We see and know what they allow us to. If they aren’t showing their struggles then we don’t see it, but they definitely have them, we all do. Truth is we all wake up and plan to do our best that day. Some days our best just looks different.

Noooooooo girl lol. Real life is not like that. It’s exhausting. I have a toddler and baby and even when I only had my first- I could not keep up. Most moms absolutely cannot keep up but they survive and make it. Not showering , skipping brushing teeth, forgetting to eat or eating too often- that’s all normal. No time to clean or organize and feeling like crap- all normal. Social media is a lie and I feel like a mom that shows all these nice pics w nice house and all nicely dressed- they’re spending all that time doing that and editing and listing pics- then when are they really spending time w their babies and taking care of them? They either have a lot of help or are neglecting something.
