"Marge" Hartman, 84, a resident of Nottingham Village, and formerly of Queen Street, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008, at the Sunbury Community Hospital.

She was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Northumberland, a daughter of the late John and Martha (Sarvis) Robinson. She was a 1943 graduate of Northumberland High School where she played the snare drum in the band. Marge attended the First Baptist Church, Northumberland, and was a member of the Northumberland Hook and Ladder Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and a big supporter of our military troops and veterans. She also enjoyed playing cards with her family and bingo while residing at Nottingham. She is survived by her daughter, Debra L.

Roberts, of Simi Valley, four grandchildren, Michelle E. Klock, of Paxinos, Thomas M. Stuck, of Northumberland, Shawn P. Roberts, of Philadelphia, and Christina M. Roberts, of Columbia, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie J.

Stuck and Paige E. Campbell; one sister, Kathryn Hoffman, of Northumberland; two sons-inlaw, Thomas D. Stuck and Paul W. Roberts; one niece, Beverly Windus; one nephew, Jeffrey Robinson; all of Northumberland; and her dear cat, Ben. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherilyn K.

Conrad, 67, Selinsgrove SELINSGROVE- Richard Allen "Dick" Conrad, 67, of 1194 Flint Valley Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 11, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. after a sudden but brief illness at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

At the time of his death he was surrounded by his wife and children. He was born June 5, 1941, in Sunbury, a son of the late Darlington and Emily (Dunham) Conrad. On Aug. 11, 1967, he was married to the former Ruth C. Saxton, who survives.

Dick was a life-long iron worker, a member of Local 822, finishing his career at CMC Joist and Deck Company, New Columbia after 39 years of service on June 13, 2008. He was a life-long member of the Friendship Hose Company and Susquehanna Rod and Gun Club. Dick enjoyed his family, visiting his home in Florida and telling his grandchildren fictional stories of his great adventures as a "Chef for the Navy" or "Samurai Warrior." He was an avid outdoorsman who most enjoyed mowing his fields. Memorials in Dick's memory may be made to the American Lung Association, or Pulmonary Fibrosis Association. Vernon C. Sparks, 89, Mifflinburg MIFFLINBURG Vernon C. "Sparkie" Sparks, 89, of 1975 Mensch Road, entered into eternal rest at 10: 25 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at Rolling Hills Manor.

He was born May 26, 1919, in Lockney, Texas, a son of the late Walter M. and Roxy W. (Comer) Sparks. On Jan. 4, 1958, in Reno, he mar- Vernon mer Marie S.

Sparks Boney, who survives. In October of 1939, he joined the Army, serving in World War II until his honorable discharge on Jan. 14, 1946. Vernon worked for American Can San Francisco, until moving to Mifflinburg, when he joined Pennsylvania House Furniture, Lewisburg, retiring in 1983. Sparkie was a member of the Millmont United Methodist Church.

a member of the United Machinists Union and United Steelworks Union, and a member of the Thomas H. Clapham Post 410, American Legion, Mifflinburg. He enjoyed riding motorcycle, bird watching and doing yard work. He and his wife, Marie, have enjoyed traveling most of the U.S. and Canada on motorcycle.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step-daughters, Gloria Jean Musser and husband Gerald, of Millmont, and Medam Clappsaddle, of Gettysburg; one sister, Florene Anderson, of Shreveport, three grandchildren, Renee Stahl and husband Barry, Stephen Musser, Randy Musser and wife Tina; one greatgranddaughter, Nicole Musser; one niece, Becky Alexandria; and one great-niece, Kelly Cocococ. He was preceded in death by a brother in infancy, Walter W. Sparks, and a sister, Captola Cooper. In keeping with Vernon's wishes their will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11 a.m.

Tuesday at Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut Mifflinburg with Pastor Fred Yarger officiating. Interment with full military honors accorded by veterans of the Thomas H. Seebold, 99, Northumberland NORTHUMBERLAND Emma R. Seebold, 99, of Nottingham Village, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She had previously resided in Mifflinburg and Sunbury. She was born July 20, 1908, in Mount Pleasant Mills, a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Troup) Meiser. She was married to John S.

Seebold who preceded her in death. Emma and her late husband owned and operated a farm near Mifflinburg and sold eggs and produce. Later she was employed at the Laurelton State School and as a waitress in the Selinsgrove area. She was a member of the Arbogast's Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant Mills.

Emma enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Gay Musser, of Wilmington, two grandchildren, Diane L. and husband Ronald Eugene D. Hendricks, 65, Sunbury SUNBURY Eugene D.

Hendricks, 65, of 281 Second passed away on Saturday, July 12,2008, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland. He was born Dec. 24, 1942, in Sunbury, a son of the late Eugene D. and Gladys (Kelly) Hendricks, Sr. He was married to the former Susan McCracken, who survives.

Eugene was a 1960 graduate of Sunbury High School. He was employed as a lead man for Knight Celotex Company, Sunbury, retiring in 2005 with 33 years of service. Eugene was a life member of Rescue Hose Company, Sunbury, member and director of Pennsylvania Trappers Association District 7. He was awarded Trapper of the Year in 2004 and the Presidents Award 2008 of the Trappers Association. He was also instrumental in the Fabridam cleanup.

He was an avid outdoorsman in trapping, hunting and fishing and prided himself of being a lifetime resident of the Sunbury community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Melanie J. Hen- dricks, of Sunbury, and Tracy and Tony Mancini, of Northumberland; eight stepchildren, Gregory C. McCracken, of Herndon, Mary M. McCracken, of Wayne, Diane E.

McCracken and Daniel McCracken, of Norristown, Joseph E. McCracken, of Middleburg, Kathleen McCracken, of Lewisburg, Janice McCracken, of Harleysville, and Karen McCracken, of Emmaus; two grandchildren, Cole and Paige Mancini, of Northumberland; 13 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Delores Berry-Reitz, of Selinsgrove, and Gloria and Tom Markowski, of Bloomsburg.
